Muslims in Thailand hold celebration in honor of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny)
A two-day celebration, Milad-un-Nabi, took place from January 24-26 in Phuket, Thailand, to honor the life and message of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny). Organized by the Islamic Committee of Phuket, the event aimed to promote peaceful coexistence and unity in the province's multicultural society.
The celebration focused on recognizing the Prophet's exemplary character and his role as a model for humanity. Guest speakers discussed the Prophet's teachings and emphasized how his guidance can shape personal, social, and community life, including governance and family leadership.
The event featured various exhibitions, a marketplace, and lectures on religious and spiritual topics. Muslims, who make up around five percent of Thailand's 70 million population, came together to celebrate the Prophet’s legacy and foster greater unity in their diverse community.
