The Maintenance Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has completed flooring work at seven of the Shrine’s gates in preparation for the revered Tuwaireej Run ritual. As part of a comprehensive plan to serve pilgrims and ensure smooth movement during the event, the department utilized a special type of soft earth reinforced with advanced materials known for their ability to absorb vibrations and shocks.

Engineer Abdul-Hassan Muhammad, Head of the Maintenance Department, stated, “Preparations are progressing at full speed with the full mobilization of our staff. Seven gates have been floored with soft quarry soil combined with a newly developed substance that enhances shock absorption and provides stability for the large crowds expected during the ritual.”

He added that three of the gates will be designated for entry and four for exit to manage the flow of pilgrims and ease congestion. The gates include Bab Al-Qibla, Bab Al-Zainabiyah, Bab Al-Rajaa, Bab Qadi Al-Hajjat, Bab Al-Shuhada, Bab Al-Karamah, and Bab Al-Salam.
