The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has organized a Hussaini mourning ceremony in the German city of Göttingen to mark the beginning of the month of Muharram, 1447 AH, and to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

Sayyed Ahmed Al-Radhi, the Shrine’s representative in Europe, stated, “The ceremony is being held in Göttingen and will continue through the tenth of Muharram, honoring the sacrifice of the Master of Martyrs.”

He explained that the program includes recitation of the Holy Quran, the Ziyarah of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), elegies, Hussaini poetry, and congregational prayers.

Al-Radhi also noted that the event features a religious lecture in German, delivered by a young speaker, aiming to engage younger generations and broaden the message of Ashura within the local community.
