International university and Karbala Center collaborate on research related to the holy city of Karbala
The Karbala Center for Studies and Research, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Iraq Branch of Al-Mustafa International University. The delegation was led by His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Ali Mohsen Zadeh and aimed at strengthening cultural and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.
Abdul-Amir Aziz Al-Quraishi, Director of the Center, explained that the visit focused on exploring avenues for joint scientific collaboration, particularly in research areas related to the holy city of Karbala or aligned with the Center’s academic and intellectual objectives.
He added that the Center plans to propose a selection of research topics to be considered by graduate students—both master’s and doctoral candidates—at Al-Mustafa University for their theses and dissertations.
"This collaboration represents an effort to integrate scientific work in a way that supports the preservation and study of Karbala's rich heritage, history, and its cultural and spiritual significance," Al-Quraishi noted.
He concluded by affirming the mutual commitment of both institutions to expanding their cultural and intellectual partnership, with the goal of advancing knowledge in service of science, religion, and society.
