Imam Zain Al-Abidin Hospital becomes first in Iraq to receive Temos International Certification
The Health and Medical Education Authority at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) has announced that Imam Zain Al-Abidin Hospital in Karbala has been awarded the prestigious Temos International Certification—marking it as the first healthcare institution in Iraq to achieve this distinction.
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, Head of the Authority, stated, “After a journey marked by excellence and tireless effort, this achievement affirms the hospital’s commitment to the highest international standards of quality and patient safety, placing Iraq on the global map of competitive healthcare.”
He added, “This certification is a major step in boosting public trust in Iraqi healthcare institutions and enhancing the overall quality of medical services provided to patients.”
Dr. Al-Abadi further noted that this international recognition not only acknowledges the quality of care available in Iraq but also paves the way for partnerships with global medical institutions and increases patient confidence in local healthcare options.
“Upholding international standards,” he emphasized, “not only elevates the level of healthcare services in Iraq but also reflects the country’s dedication to providing world-class medical care that meets—and even rivals—those found in developed nations.”
It is worth noting that Temos International Certification is a globally recognized accreditation awarded to hospitals and medical centers that meet rigorous standards in medical tourism, clinical care, and patient-centered services.
