The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Media Department’s Exhibitions Division, participated in the 17th Erbil International Book Fair, an event that saw the participation of hundreds of publishing houses and cultural institutions from across the Arab world and beyond.

Ali Mamitha, Head of the Exhibitions Division, noted the remarkable turnout at the Shrine's pavilion, stating, “The pavilion of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) attracted a wide and diverse audience, especially from the Kurdistan Region, many of whom expressed deep interest in the Husseini cause and its spiritual and cultural dimensions."

He explained that the Shrine’s participation aims to introduce the values and message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) to a broader audience by showcasing a variety of cultural publications and literary works.

"Our goal is to convey the Shrine’s cultural message to all Iraqi provinces and to international audiences through exhibitions and participation in global cultural events," Mamitha added.

The pavilion featured an array of intellectual and cultural publications, including several titles in the Kurdish language. Visitors expressed strong appreciation for the content, highlighting the Shrine’s ongoing commitment to addressing the cultural and intellectual needs of society.

"The Holy Shrine continues to serve as a beacon of knowledge, providing diverse communities with meaningful literature that reflects the eternal message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him),” Mamitha emphasized.

"We strive to present the Husseini culture in a refined and accessible manner, one that resonates with both Arab and international audiences."

Ihab Al-Qaisi, Director of the Erbil International Book Fair, described this year’s edition as one of the most significant in the region.

"With the participation of more than 350 Arab and foreign publishing houses, along with 32 Iraqi Kurdish publishers, this year’s fair reflects a vibrant and growing interest in cultural exchange and literary engagement," Al-Qaisi said.
