In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, the Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine opened an exhibition on contemporary paintings that embody the painful tragedy of Karbala in Bein Al-Haramein (area between the two holy shrines). 

According to Ali Zaki Kamel Al-Tamimi, head of the department, “The exhibition witnessed the participation of 20 artists from various Iraqi provinces, who displayed their artworks that embody the Karbala tragedy and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), his family and companions.”

He added, “The exhibition will continue for two days, which gives pilgrims the opportunity to view the artworks and interact with the artists.”
