Sheikh Imad Al-Qarghouli, representative of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Nineveh Governorate, confirmed the ongoing delivery of diverse cultural and medical services to residents across the region.

“These efforts include cultural programs such as religious councils, seminars, dialogue sessions, and commemorations of the births and martyrdoms of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them),” Sheikh Al-Qarghouli stated.

On the service side, he highlighted the provision of medical care both within Nineveh and through the hospitals affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Karbala. He noted that the Holy Shrine operates a hospital in Bartella, Nineveh, which continues to serve thousands of citizens.

Al-Qarghouli also pointed to a major achievement—the establishment of Al-Batoul Hospital on Mosul’s right bank, described as the largest women’s hospital constructed by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain across Iraq. Initially launched at a temporary site, the hospital later moved to its permanent location. After consultation with the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, restoration work began on the original site, and the reconstruction project is now in advanced stages, with ongoing progress.
