Dr. Haider Ahmed Al-Khafaji, infertility and IVF specialist at the Abdullah Al-Radhi' Center for Infertility at Safeer Al-Imam Al-Hussain Hospital, announced that the center treated more than 2,000 women in April, performing over 100 artificial insemination procedures.

“The center serves patients from across Iraq, addressing infertility, delayed childbearing, and related conditions,” Dr. Al-Khafaji said. “Despite the complexity of many cases—including both primary and secondary infertility—we’ve achieved promising results, with pregnancy success rates nearing 40%.”

He expressed gratitude to His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, Legal Guardian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, and the hospital administration for their support in providing costly infertility medications, surgical procedures, tests, and examinations completely free of charge.

Dr. Al-Khafaji also highlighted the presence of a specialized all-female IVF team and highly trained nursing staff using state-of-the-art equipment. He added that plans are underway to expand the center to meet the growing demand for its services.
