Imam Hussain Holy Shrine signs cooperation agreement with Iran's Khorasan Seminary

The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Khorasan Seminary in Mashhad, Iran, to strengthen scientific, cultural, and research cooperation between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed by the Shrine's Secretary-General, Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayechi, in the presence of officials from the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department.

Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, head of the department, said the MoU is part of the Shrine's strategy to expand academic and cultural partnerships with seminaries and research institutions in Iraq and abroad.

The agreement covers cooperation among the department's centers and divisions, including the Bayyinah Center for Intellectual Security, the Heritage Revival Center, and the Research and Verification Division. It also provides for the exchange of researchers, expertise, academic theses, publications, and library resources, while promoting joint scholarly and cultural projects.

Al-Qarawi said the partnership aims to strengthen intellectual exchange and support collaborative research initiatives, reinforcing the Holy Shrine's role in advancing academic and cultural cooperation.
