The capital city of Jordan, Amman, witnessed the inauguration of the first smart mosque, named "Makkah Khamees." This development is part of a broader initiative aimed at leveraging modern technology to enhance mosque services.

The Jordanian government aims to extend this smart system to mosques nationwide, emphasizing cost-saving benefits and comprehensive control of mosque components.

The system enables real-time monitoring of any violations or malfunctions within the mosque, automatically issuing alerts as needed. Additionally, electronic controls will manage the timing of the call to prayer, account for time zone differences, and regulate the operation of lighting, air conditioning systems, as well as the opening and closing of mosque doors.

The Makkah Khamees mosque is equipped with various facilities, including a women's prayer hall, a gym, and a Quranic center, creating an ideal environment for evaluating the effectiveness of the smart system.
