George Grigori, Head of the Arabic Language Department at the University of Bucharest and representative of foreign delegations at the 17th Global Rabee al-Shahada Cultural Festival, emphasised: "The great personality of Imam Hussain (PBUH) unites us here in Karbala."

He added, "We stand here alongside an Imam whom history has not witnessed like him, and we remember the clash of swords,

how principles of justice and freedom emerged as victories over tyranny."

He continued, "Imam Hussain is a prominent figure in Islamic and world history. He led his revolution against corruption and injustice in the Battle of Karbala in 61 AH, where he was martyred for noble values and principles. His martyrdom story carries a great message of resilience and resistance against oppression, which greatly influenced liberation movements and the free people of the world."

He pointed out that "while the story of Imam Hussain is linked to the religious and Islamic context, its impact has expanded to include various fields and movements in the world. The life of Imam Hussain and the events leading to his martyrdom affirmed the values and principles he fought for, such as justice, freedom, and rejection of oppression.

Moreover, this impact played a significant role in religious, political, and social struggles in various parts of the world. We can mention many liberation movements that drew inspiration from the story of Imam Hussain, such as the reform movement in the Middle Ages and revolutionary movements in modern times."

This influence has extended to some prominent figures in the world, and it can be said that the story of Imam Hussain was a source of inspiration for leaders who promoted justice and freedom in their history. Among these figures are Mohammad Mustafa, who led the independence movement in Egypt; Gandhi in India; and Nelson Mandela, the leader of South Africa, who struggled to end the apartheid regime.

Grigori concluded that "the impact of the martyrdom transcended religious boundaries to encompass various fields, and his story continues to inspire generations and serve as a source of inspiration for anyone striving for justice and freedom."
