Imam Ali Holy Shrine honors police college cadets for supporting pilgrims

The Security Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine honored cadets from the Second Police College in Basra Governorate for their efforts in securing pilgrimages to the shrine during the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and the commemoration of the martyrdom of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).

The ceremony, held at Amina Hall in the Lady Fatimah Courtyard, was attended by Secretary-General of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine Sayyid Issa Al-Kharsan and officials from the Security, Public Relations and Media departments.

Al-Kharsan praised the cadets for their service to pilgrims during the two religious occasions, emphasizing the spiritual value of dedicating one’s time and efforts to serving others and seeking the pleasure of God.

He said serving pilgrims at the holy shrines carries a special significance and is accompanied by the prayers of the faithful, adding that the cadets’ efforts would have lasting value in this life and the Hereafter.

Major General Staff Salah Salman Al-Shammari, dean of the Second Police College, welcomed the recognition and praised the Holy Shrine’s continued support and coordination with security institutions.

He also commended the cooperation between the college cadets and the Holy Shrine’s security personnel, which helped ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims and maintain security during the two occasions.

The recognition, presented for the second consecutive year, honored the cadets for carrying out their duties and supporting the shrine’s security personnel, contributing to a safe and orderly environment for pilgrims.
