The Holy Quran Institute at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the Women’s Activities Unit of its Quranic Education Center, has announced the launch of its summer Quranic courses for girls and women. Following the completion of the necessary logistical preparations, the courses have begun on Monday, August 10, 2026, within the Holy Shrine complex.

Wissam Nadheer Al-Dalfi, Head of the Quranic Media Center, told the Karbala Now Agency that 100 female instructors from the Holy Quran Institute will participate in delivering the program. The courses will cover a range of subjects, including Quranic studies, Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and simplified thematic exegesis  of the Holy Quran.

He added that 50 supervisors have been assigned to oversee student attendance at designated teaching venues, including the Sultaniyya Basement, Karama Basement, Karama Courtyard, and Shuhada Basement. The Institute has also allocated 50 buses to provide transportation for students to and from the Holy Shrine.

Al-Dalfi further stated that 2,500 students have been accepted into the program, representing various areas of the governorate as well as Arab and foreign nationals residing in the holy city of Karbala. Participants come from a wide range of age groups, allowing them to study the sciences of the Holy Quran and contribute to spreading its teachings and culture.
