The General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, held a two-day Hussaini gathering in the Kurdistan Region to commemorate the passing of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).

The event featured religious speakers and poets who reflected on the life and legacy of the Prophet and the values of Muhammadan Islam, emphasizing love, peace and brotherhood.

Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, told Karbala Now that the gathering was part of the Holy Shrine’s religious and cultural programs in the Kurdistan Region, organized in cooperation with the Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

He said the ministry and the Kurdistan Regional Government provided the necessary support and facilities to ensure the programs were held in an appropriate setting, while the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine oversaw their organization.

Al-Qarawi described the events as an initial step toward expanding the Holy Shrine’s cultural and religious activities in the Kurdistan Region and strengthening its presence across Iraq.
