Sabah Al-Nu’man, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, confirmed Monday that U.S. and International Coalition forces will complete their withdrawal from Iraq on September 30.

He said the withdrawal would be completed according to the agreed timeline, adding that Iraq’s security situation remains stable.

“Our security situation is good; we have control over all Iraqi territory, and there are no concerns regarding the country’s security,” Al-Nu’man said.

He added that Iraqi forces are deployed across the country and that Iraq’s relationship with the International Coalition will transition to a new form of bilateral partnership.
