Iraqi Red Crescent launches “Child’s Heart” project
Ghanem Abdul-Zahra, media official for the Iraqi Red Crescent Society’s Karbala branch, stated to Karbala Now agency that the Society has supplied the Karbala Directorate of Education with laboratory equipment, computers, printers, and sports gear. The initiative aims to support the education sector, enhance learning conditions, and better serve students’ needs.
He explained that the materials—provided under the broader humanitarian “Child’s Heart” project—were distributed to Al-Muthanna School for Boys and Sarabiha Primary School for Girls, two of four schools currently benefiting from the program.
Abdul-Zahra added that the initiative was made possible through support and donations from the German Red Cross. It seeks to improve students’ health, awareness, and physical activity, while contributing to a safer and more supportive school environment.
The project is part of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society’s ongoing efforts to support the education sector, particularly children, through humanitarian programs designed to enhance learning standards and student well-being.
