Imam Hussain Holy Shrine holds specialized drawing course for girls
The Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched a specialized drawing course for girls to enhance their artistic and creative abilities.
Mr. Ali Zaki Al-Tamimi, Head of the Department, told Karbala Now News Agency that “this course is part of the department’s art programs designed to develop the creative talents of girls interested in fine arts and to refine their skills in ink drawing—one of the most important forms of visual expression that combines precision, beauty, and artistic imagination.”
He added that “the six-day course, held every Friday and Saturday, includes practical sessions on ink drawing techniques and hands-on training in visual composition, light and shadow, and spatial construction. These activities enable participants to create complete artworks that reflect their personal vision.”
Al-Tamimi explained that “this initiative reflects the department’s and the Holy Shrine’s commitment to fostering a culture of art and creativity, empowering young female talents to develop their artistic potential within an educational environment that encourages innovation and aesthetic expression. This, in turn, contributes to enriching the artistic scene in Karbala and Iraq as a whole.”
He noted that “the program is organized by the Arts and Theater Division of the department.”
