Iraqi Red Crescent Society deploys more than 2000 paramedics to provide emergency medical services to Arbaeen pilgrims
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has deployed more than 2000 paramedics and medical detachments to provide emergency medical services to the millions of pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
Engineer Falah Muhammad Redha, head of the IRCS, said that the Society formed a field operations room and prepared a special plan for the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
“The plan includes the deployment of more than 2000 paramedics on the roads leading to Karbala from the provinces of Basra, Maysan, Dhi Qar, Wasit, Diwaniyah, Muthanna, Najaf, Babylon, Baghdad, Diyala, Salah al-Din, and Kirkuk", said Redha.
He also pointed out that 26 ambulances were deployed in the city center and on the main roads to transport emergency cases to hospitals and health centers, in coordination with the city's health department, in addition to 7 mobile medical clinics with specialized medical staff.
