Mr. Emad Al-Jash’ami, Head of the Media Unit in the Department for the Care of Martyrs’ Families and the Wounded at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), announced that the unit provided medical treatment for 400 cases during April 2026. He explained that these cases were carefully distributed across hospitals and medical institutions affiliated with the shrine, following the completion of all administrative procedures to ensure efficiency and high-quality care.

Al-Jash’ami emphasized that supporting the families of martyrs and the wounded remains a top priority in recognition of their sacrifices. He added that the program also extends assistance to low-income families, vulnerable groups, and political prisoners.

He noted that the services went beyond routine check-ups, including complex surgeries and comprehensive specialized treatments. These efforts have played a significant role in reducing the financial burden on beneficiaries while ensuring access to essential healthcare.

He further highlighted that the unit operates through a highly organized system designed to streamline procedures, minimize delays, and ensure timely delivery of services to those in need.

Al-Jash’ami concluded by stating that the department is working to expand cooperation with additional medical institutions to increase its capacity and cover more humanitarian cases as part of its 2026 plan. These achievements reflect the expanding role of healthcare institutions affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, which have evolved into a comprehensive humanitarian network dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of Iraqi citizens and embodying values of compassion and service.
