The Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts at the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas has unveiled a rare silver dirham dating back to the period when Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Redha was appointed Crown Prince.

Mr. Nafi’ Al-Mousawi, Head of the Museum Department, explained that exhibiting such artifacts allows visitors to engage directly with items that document pivotal moments in Islamic history. He noted that the museum is committed to presenting its collections in ways that bring historical narratives closer to the public.

Al-Mousawi added that displaying coins of this nature helps deepen cultural and historical awareness, highlighting their value as tangible records of political and social developments from their time.
