The General Secretariat of Imam Ali Holy Shrine (PBUH) announced that over 5 million pilgrims made it to the Shrine to visit Imam Ali to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Haider Rahim, the head of the media department, stated in a press conference, "The number of pilgrims who arrived to visit Najaf city at Imam Ali Holy Shrine has reached over 5 million."

He explained, "Over (180) service processions have participated in serving the pilgrims and provided various types of services, while 100 vehicles deployed to transport pilgrims, along with three medical detachments for any emergency case, and to serve 15 thousand pilgrims each day by over 2,200 personals."

Rahim added, "The Holy Shrine hosted over 667 Hussaini Processions in the pilgrimage and prepared around 20 different sites with 100,000 m2 to accommodate these processions, while the Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa Courtyard accommodated over 35,000 pilgrims and provided all amenities and services."-
