The administration of Zainul Abideen Hospital, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced that more than 300 open-heart surgeries were performed during the past 6 months by highly skilled doctors in cooperation with the European Centre.

Mustafa Al-Musawi, the hospital's media official, stated to Karbala International Agency, "The hospital cooperated with the European Centre and resulted in achieving a qualitative accomplishment by performing 300 open-heart surgeries for adults and children, including 96 for adults and 204 for children, using the latest technologies, with 95% success rates."

He concluded, "Most of these surgeries were complicated with high-risk rates, especially for newborn cases, but succeeded eventually."
