Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s Health and Medical Education Authority to introduce latest open MRI devices for enhanced imaging and comfort for children
The Health and Medical Education Authority of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the signing of a contract to introduce the latest open MRI devices by the end of this year. This new technology will provide high-precision imaging while ensuring greater comfort, particularly for children.
Dr. Haider Al-Abidi, head of the authority, emphasized that the open MRI device offers a significant advantage for pediatric patients, as it allows a family member to accompany the child inside the machine, reducing the need for anesthesia.
He also noted that while earlier models of open MRI devices had limitations in image accuracy, the new device offers enhanced precision and can accommodate higher weights.
In line with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority’s representative, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is actively implementing numerous service projects, especially in the health sector. These initiatives aim to provide free medical services to citizens, with a focus on the families of martyrs, the poor, and low-income individuals from all across Iraq.
