The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is finalizing its preparations to participate in the 36th Tehran International Book Fair, scheduled to be held from May 7–17, 2025, in the Iranian capital. The event will host over 3,000 Iranian publishers along with more than 60 international publishing houses, showcasing over 50,000 foreign titles, with participation from over 70 countries.

Ali Mamitha, Head of the Shrine’s Exhibitions Division, stated that preparations are underway to ensure a strong presence at the fair. This includes organizing the pavilion space and designing its layout to meet both practical and aesthetic standards. He noted that a prominent and spacious exhibition area has been reserved to reflect the significance of the Shrine’s participation.

The Holy Shrine will participate with two dedicated pavilions. The first, located in the Persian Hall, will feature cultural competitions offering valuable prizes, including blessed memorabilia from Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), with a grand prize consisting of an all-expenses-paid visit to the Holy Shrine. The second pavilion, in the Arabic Hall, will display and sell the Shrine’s full range of publications at subsidized prices, with a focus on serving seminary students and academic visitors.

The Tehran International Book Fair remains a major regional event, drawing large crowds and offering an important platform for cultural exchange, dialogue, and the promotion of Islamic and scholarly literature.
