Polish delegation visits Imam Ali Holy Shrine: “We felt deep respect for this sacred site and its rich history”
The Public Relations Department of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine welcomed a delegation from the Republic of Poland as part of its ongoing initiative to host international visitors and introduce them to the shrine’s religious and historical significance.
Karrar Al-Mousawi, Head of the Internal Relations Division, stated, “As part of our global outreach program, we hosted a Polish delegation and guided them through the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the courtyard of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).”
He added that the Shrine prepares multilingual publications on the life and principles of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), along with detailed information about its landmarks and history. These materials, available in seven languages, are gifted to foreign tourists, scholars, and new converts.
Mr. Bafwa, a member of the visiting delegation, described the experience as deeply meaningful. “Our visit was a unique spiritual and cultural journey. We were struck by the grandeur of Islamic architecture and the warmth of the hospitality. We felt profound respect for this holy site and its ancient heritage.”
In 2024 alone, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine has received over 150 delegations from around the world—including from Germany, the U.S., Belgium, France, and the U.K.—as part of its efforts to promote cultural dialogue and highlight the spiritual and historical importance of Iraq’s sacred sites.
