An Italian media delegation concluded a visit to the holy city of Karbala, aimed at exploring its Islamic architecture, history, and cultural landmarks. The visit was organized in coordination with the Cultural Diplomacy Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Media Center of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.

Haidar Al-Mangooshi, head of the International Media Center, stated that the delegation included journalist Rossella Fabiana and researcher Christina Mesori. Their itinerary featured visits to the shrines of Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), the Shrine’s Museum and Library, and various heritage sites. The guests were particularly impressed by the presence of sources on Italian history in the Shrine’s Library.

The delegation also visited the Al-Hadi Center for Muscular Myopathy, where Dr. Saleh Al-Jaberi briefed them on the Holy Shrine's healthcare initiatives. Other stops included Al-Zahraa University for Women, where they met with Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the Al-Sabtayn Center for Autism, showcasing the Shrine's commitment to education, health, and humanitarian work.

Cultural and historical landmarks such as the Al-Uqaisar Church, Al-Ukhaidir Fortress, and the Visual Memory Exhibition at Sayyed Al-Awsiya City for Pilgrims were also part of the tour. Al-Mangooshi noted the delegation's appreciation for the Shrine’s engagement across multiple sectors of public life, including museums and exhibitions.

The visit concluded with a session at the International Media Center, where discussions were held on future collaboration, including hosting social media influencers. The delegation also received English-language publications issued by the Center.
