On the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's mission (Mab’ath), the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine launched the central events of World Quran Day, organized by the Shrine’s Holy Quran House. The festivities included an international Quranic forum for youth, featuring talented reciters from Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran. The event was held in the presence of Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Bahr Al-Ulum, Deputy Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.

Wissam Nazir Al-Dalfi, head of the Quran House Media Center, explained, "This event is part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s efforts to commemorate World Quran Day, which coincides with the anniversary of the Prophet's mission, and to highlight the Quran's role in shaping both individual and societal life."

He also announced the launch of a new national Quranic project, aimed at discovering and nurturing promising Quranic talents for both national and international participation. “This project marks a new milestone in the Quranic initiatives led by the Holy Quran House," Al-Dalfi added. "It is a step towards building a distinguished Quranic generation.”

Al-Dalfi emphasized that this event is part of a broader series of Quranic forums, exhibitions, festivals, seminars, and conferences initiated since 2016 under the direct sponsorship of Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaey, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, and the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.

"What sets this year apart is the significant expansion of international participation," Al-Dalfi noted.
