Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to transport pilgrims from Kurdistan to Karbala
The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) continues to play a significant role in promoting unity and cohesion among Iraq's diverse communities. In its latest initiative, the Shrine facilitated the transportation of pilgrims from the Raniya area in Sulaymaniyah Province to the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf for visits to their holy shrines.
This effort is part of the Shrine's ongoing commitment to support pilgrims from different regions of Iraq, providing them with essential services such as transportation, housing, and meals.
The transportation process was supervised by His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, Director of the Bayna Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security and Representative of the Holy Shrine in Kurdistan. He expressed his gratitude for the continuous support from the administration of the Holy Shrine.
In a statement, Sheikh Al-Qarawi highlighted, “We are dedicated to these efforts to promote unity and cohesion among all sects, as Iraq is our shared homeland, and every individual reflects the values of brotherhood and solidarity.”
The pilgrims also met His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi, Head of the Shrine’s Religious Affairs Department, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering societal peace and rejecting division.
