The number of companies authorized to organize pilgrimages to holy sites in Pakistan has risen to 282 following the registration of 21 new firms. The newly accredited companies received their certificates at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and attended by Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and several other officials.

During the ceremony, the minister stressed the importance of improving services for Pakistani pilgrims traveling to holy sites in Iraq, Iran, and Syria. He highlighted the need to ensure pilgrims’ safety and comfort by providing adequate transportation, accommodation, meals, and other essential services throughout their journeys.

He also announced that the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in cooperation with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), is developing a dedicated management information system for pilgrimage companies. The initiative aims to streamline operations, improve administrative procedures, and enhance the overall management of the pilgrimage sector.
