The Warith Al-Anbiya Foundation, affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has inaugurated the Lady Al-Zahra Mosque in Tanzania’s Kigoma region.

The mosque is intended to serve as a center for worship, education, and community life, providing local residents with a space for prayer and religious observance while promoting religious, ethical, and social values.

In a statement published on the official website, the Foundation said the mosque was established as a place of worship and a gathering point for the local community, where residents can perform prayers, observe religious rituals, and strengthen their religious and ethical values. The facility is also expected to host religious, educational, and cultural programs, contributing to the well-being of the local community and supporting the upbringing of future generations in accordance with noble principles and values.

The Foundation added that the inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of local residents, who expressed their joy and gratitude at the completion of the mosque. Attendees also praised the support and continued efforts of those who contributed to the project.

Participants extended their appreciation to the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and everyone involved in establishing the mosque, emphasizing the project's anticipated long-term significance for residents of the region and future generations.

The project forms part of the Holy Shrine’s broader efforts to support religious and humanitarian initiatives around the world. Through such initiatives, the shrine seeks to promote the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and provide spiritual, educational, and intellectual support to Muslim communities and societies.
