The Strategic Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the completion of engineering designs for the Al-Warith Hospital for Cancer and General Specialties in Kirkuk Governorate. The 400-bed project is being implemented under the direction of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey.

According to a statement published on the official website, the hospital will include 200 beds for cancer treatment and 200 beds for general medical specialties. It will be built on a 6.5-hectare site and designed in accordance with high engineering specifications and international standards for major healthcare facilities.

The designs prioritize efficient patient flow, integration of specialized services, and a comprehensive healing environment to support the delivery of advanced medical care.

The complex will comprise four main buildings. The five-story main hospital will accommodate all 400 beds, along with examination, diagnostic, and treatment departments, service facilities, and dedicated children's play areas.

The project will also include an eight-story residential building for doctors and medical staff, as well as a six-story logistics and services building with parking facilities designed to help manage traffic within the complex. A dedicated utilities building will house mechanical and electrical systems and generators to ensure continuous power and essential services.

The hospital will also feature integrated technical systems, including central HVAC, smart fire detection and suppression systems, public-address systems, and modern elevators.

According to the department, the facility will be equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, strengthening healthcare infrastructure and providing specialized medical services to patients in Kirkuk Governorate and neighboring provinces.
