Indonesia promotes halal economic cooperation at D-8 Halal Expo 2026

Indonesia is seeking to strengthen its role in the global halal economy through the D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia 2026, taking place at Tennis Indoor Senayan in Jakarta from July 9 to 12.

Held under the theme "Strengthening D-8 Halal Economy Through International Collaboration," the exhibition is part of the Developing-8 (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation's activities and aims to expand halal economic partnerships among its eight member states: Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Türkiye.

According to Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the expo focuses on strengthening the global halal production ecosystem and supply chain, covering everything from raw materials and industrial zones to logistics, distribution, and end markets.

The event also aims to enhance cooperation in human resource development, training, and technology exchange to support the growth and competitiveness of the halal industry across D-8 member countries.
