In coordination with the International Media Center (IMC), the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain hosted a press delegation from Libya and Algeria to participate in the scientific symposium called "The Impact of Media in Consolidating Islamic Unity".

IMC director, Haidar Al-Mangooshi, said, "We received a group of media professionals from Libya and Algeria in preparation for their participation in the scientific symposium under the title 'The Impact of Media in Consolidating Islamic Unity', which is slated to be held next Wednesday at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him)."

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Dr. Alaa Dhiyaa Al-Din, received the delegation and presented to them the most important work carried out by the Shrine and the services provided to visitors coming from various countries of the world, in addition to the most important service and humanitarian projects that the Shrine is adopting in all fields including health, education, culture, and others.

The International Media Center, affiliated with the Media Department of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, prepares and coordinates special programs for Arab and foreign media professionals and provides assistance to them in preparing press reports on important events in Karbala, mainly the massive pilgrimages.
