Al-Abbas Holy Shrine is building the largest museum in Iraq
The Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) announced the establishment of Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures, which is considered the largest museum in Iraq.
The head of the Engineering Projects Department at the Holy Shrine, Engineer Diyaa Al-Din Al-Sayegh, said, "The department has started construction work on the Al-Kafeel Museum building, which is being built on an area of 4000 square meters and consists of six floors with an 80-meter-tall minaret."
He pointed out that the museum’s vision and the mechanism for preserving the treasures and its laboratories are on par with international museums.
"The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine Museum is one of the projects to develop and expand the old city, and it is being implemented in stages. It is located at the entrance to Al-Qibla Street leading to the Holy Shrine," added Hussein Muhammad Baqir, the project’s resident engineer.
