The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain is participating in the 35th annual Tehran International Book Fair with a variety of religious and cultural books.

The 12-day event is held under the slogan 'Let’s Read and Build' from May 8-19.

"Following an official invitation by the fair's organizing committee, Imam Hussain Holy Shrine participated through its two pavilions in the Persian and Arab halls," Sayyed Ali Mamitha, head of the Shrine's Exhibitions and Fairs Division, told Karbala International Agency.

The Persian hall witnessed cultural competitions, as prizes included memorabilia from the Holy Shrine, and most notably an all-expense paid trip to Karbala. Meanwhile, the publications of the Holy Shrine are displayed at the Arab hall at subsidized prices.

"Sixty publishing houses from around the world showcasing 50,000 titles representing foreign cultures are participating in the international event, alongside three thousand local publishing houses," added Mamitha.

The annual Tehran International Book Fair attracts a large number of publishers and visitors from all over the world, and is an important platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing cultural communication among people.
