UN: over 7,000 Palestinians are believed to be buried under debris in Gaza
The United Nations revealed on Friday that the number of Palestinian victims buried under the debris of buildings in the Gaza Strip is believed to have exceeded 7,000 since October 7.
Jeremy Lawrence, the spokesperson for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, said at a press conference in Geneva that "more than 7,000 Palestinians are believed to have died under the debris of buildings in Gaza, in addition to the 33,000 people who have already been officially announced."
Lawrence added: “As we approach six months of hostilities, we reflect with deep sadness and anger on the devastation and death toll in Gaza. As more than 33,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children, and over 75,000 have been injured, it is believed that at least 7 thousand died under the debris."
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced earlier today that the death toll from the Zionist military operations in the Strip had risen to 33,091 martyrs and 75,750 injured since October 7.
