The Imam Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders, affiliated with the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has inaugurated a respiratory physiotherapy unit within its rehabilitation department. The new unit uses advanced rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based techniques to help patients improve respiratory function and enhance their quality of life.

Salim Ghattas, Supervisor of the Rehabilitation Department at the center, said in a statement obtained by the official website that the new unit represents an important addition to the center’s rehabilitation services. He said it is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and rehabilitation programs based on scientific research and designed to address patients’ healthcare needs.

Ghattas explained that the unit was established in response to growing demand from patients and their families, as well as the limited availability of specialized respiratory physiotherapy services at other healthcare facilities. He noted that some existing services continue to rely on traditional approaches that do not meet current standards of advanced medical care.

He said the unit primarily serves patients with neuromuscular disorders who experience respiratory and chest-related complications, as well as patients with primary respiratory conditions.

The unit’s team provides comprehensive rehabilitation programs that include airway secretion clearance and exercises aimed at improving inhalation and respiratory efficiency. These interventions are designed to strengthen respiratory function and help patients achieve greater comfort and independence in daily life.

The Imam Al-Hadi Center at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain is a specialized medical and rehabilitation facility that continues to introduce new treatment and rehabilitation programs. The center aims to provide comprehensive care to different segments of society through free and subsidized services.
