Al-Abbas Holy Shrine pavilion draws large crowds at Tehran International Quran Exhibition
The pavilion of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has attracted a remarkable number of visitors at the 33rd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition, reflecting strong public engagement with its scientific and cultural offerings.
According to Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, Deputy Head of the Holy Quran Scientific Assembly affiliated with the Shrine, the pavilion introduces visitors to the Shrine’s latest publications, scholarly works, and Quranic content. It also provides opportunities for attendees to participate in a variety of interactive programs.
Among the featured activities are a “Small Quran” competition, a dedicated section for writing letters to Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), question-and-answer sessions, and a prize draw to receive the blessed banner of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.
The pavilion’s calligraphy workshop has also received significant attention. Visitors are invited to write verses from the Holy Quran as well as hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), fostering artistic engagement with sacred texts.
Al-Tamimi emphasized that the Shrine’s participation forms part of the broader scientific and cultural initiatives of the Holy Quran Scientific Assembly. The aim, he noted, is to highlight the Assembly’s role in strengthening academic and cultural activities while enhancing cooperation with religious and educational institutions both within Iraq and internationally.
The Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition, organized annually during the holy month of Ramadan by Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, will continue until March 6.
The exhibition features a wide range of programs, including specialized seminars, educational workshops, Quranic gatherings, and activities designed for children and youth, all aimed at promoting Quranic teachings and encouraging broader engagement with the Holy Quran.
