As part of its efforts to promote psychological and social awareness and strengthen women’s skills in religious outreach and advocacy, the Family Counseling Center—affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain in Najaf—continues to organize a range of training and awareness programs. These initiatives seek to develop participants’ capabilities and reinforce values that enhance the family’s role and presence in society.

The Center recently held a training course focused on developing a well-rounded and conscious personality among female advocates and equipping them with the skills needed to effectively fulfill their religious outreach and social responsibilities.

Dr. Najat Mohammed, a psychological counselor at the Center, explained that the course addressed three key areas. The first day focused on personality types and strengthening communication skills among participants. The second day explored the concept of “acceptance” as an essential first step toward addressing the problems and challenges they encounter.

The course also included a range of practical exercises that generated active participation and engagement. The program reflects the Center’s ongoing efforts to enhance the cultural, psychological, and professional knowledge of female advocates and support them in carrying out their roles more effectively.
