The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) has announced the ongoing construction of the new Al-Warith Museum in the courtyard of Al-Aqeelah Zainab (peace be upon her). The museum will incorporate the latest advanced technology to showcase its collection of rare and valuable artifacts.

Dr. Alaa Dhiya Al-Deen, the museum’s general supervisor, confirmed, “The new museum, currently under construction by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, spans an area of 1,200 square meters across four floors, covering a total of approximately 5,000 square meters.”

He elaborated on the visitor experience, explaining, “Upon entering, pilgrims will be greeted by giant screens that will take them on an immersive introductory tour, highlighting the significance of this sacred site. Additionally, the previous grille of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), which was replaced years ago, will be prominently displayed at the museum’s entrance.”

Continuing the tour, he stated, “Pilgrims will then proceed to the Grand Hall, where rare and unique artifacts will be exhibited. Among the most notable pieces is a strand of hair attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The hall’s design will be intricately linked to these precious relics, emphasizing their historical and religious significance.”

To enhance accessibility and engagement, the museum will feature a dedicated office providing accurate information about the exhibits and their preservation. Additionally, informational booklets will be available to offer deeper insights into the history of the displayed artifacts.

The Al-Warith Museum is set to become a key cultural and historical landmark, offering visitors a profound connection to the rich Islamic heritage that embodies the essence of the Islamic nation’s history. This project represents a significant addition to the cultural and educational initiatives of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
