The General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine welcomed a delegation from various countries, accompanied by a representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and the head of the Al Al-Bayt Foundation in Turkey. This visit was organized to tour the holy shrines in Iraq and explore the shrine’s ongoing projects, in coordination with the Imam Hussein Center in Istanbul, which is part of the International Media Center of the Shrine’s Media Department.

Sabah Al-Taliqani, Director of the Imam Hussein Cultural Center in Istanbul, explained, “The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, represented by Deputy Secretary-General Sayyed Muhammad Bahr Al-Ulum, in collaboration with the Imam Hussein Media and Cultural Center in Istanbul and the International Media Center at the Shrine, hosted a delegation of women from the Al Al-Bayt Foundation. The group included representatives and members from the foundation’s centers in Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, and Turkey.”

Al-Taliqani added, “This is the delegation’s first visit to the holy shrines in Karbala, under the auspices of the Al Al-Bayt Foundation and coordinated with the Imam Hussein Cultural Center in Istanbul. The visit aims to strengthen the cultural and religious ties between these international centers and the holy shrines, as well as to explore the humanitarian and service projects carried out by the shrines.”

The delegation was received by Deputy Secretary-General Sayyed Muhammad Bahr Al-Ulum, who delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of ongoing visits to Iraq’s holy shrines. He also highlighted the importance of women adhering to the true Islamic veil and representing the Husseini cause by spreading the values of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).

Al-Ulum expressed his gratitude to the Al Al-Bayt Foundation and its leader, Sheikh Rahmani, for initiating the visit and called for more such initiatives to strengthen cooperation and deepen the connection between the holy shrines and their followers worldwide.

Sheikh Rahmani, the head of the delegation and representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Istanbul, shared, “It is a great honor to visit the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussain and his brother, Al-Abbas (peace be upon them). Our delegation, including men, women, and children from various cities in Turkey, is here to deepen our spiritual connection and experience the holy sites in Iraq.”

He also emphasized that he would relay the Deputy Secretary-General’s message to the Turkish people, which stresses the importance of peaceful coexistence between different sects, adherence to the Islamic veil, and upholding national and religious unity. “We remain committed to the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority, and we continue to stay in contact with its representatives in Turkey to follow up on all directives issued by the Authority,” he concluded.
