Iraq wins first place and 24 awards in the Global Mental Arithmetic Competition in Vietnam

Iraqi student Moath Ammar stole the spotlight after winning first place in category C during the Global Mental Arithmetic Competition held in Vietnam, as the Iraqi team won 24 awards competing with more than 300 participants from 24 countries, including China, Korea, Russia and Canada.
The 11-year-old from Heet, Anbar, was part of a team of 24 students from various Iraqi provinces.
The Secretary General of the Iraqi Children's Parliament, Muhammad Rashid, said in a statement that the student Tasneem Hekmat, a member of the Iraqi Children's Parliament from Nineveh, won second place in her age group in the global event.
