The Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said that Muslims must show noble traits to attract non-Muslims towards Islamic teachings, according to Malay Mail Newspaper.

He urged that negative practices such as insulting other races and religions, and arguing over differences in opinion be cast aside in order to achieve the objectives of Muslims as propagators.

“We have to show good characteristics, they [non-Muslims] will be drawn to our deeds and believe in Islamic teachings, “Dr. Mahathir who is also the President of the Muslim Welfare Organization of Malaysia (Perkim) said that in a speech during a special event.

The Malaysian PM also wants Muslims to live with the spirit of consensus without being influenced by self-centeredness, which would cause unease among other communities.

He added, “A nation would lose if its people were fighting (among themselves),” stressing that all communities from all religions should live in harmony with one another.
