The Ministry of Transport, through the General Company for Transporting Passengers and Delegations, has deployed more than 579 buses as part of its transportation plan for pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

Karim Kadhim Hussein, Director General of the General Company for Transporting Passengers and Delegations, said the company's fleet has been fully mobilized to transport pilgrims from border crossings and Iraqi airports to the holy city of Karbala, while also providing transportation services within the governorate.

He noted that transport operations are progressing smoothly in close coordination with the Karbala Governorate and the Middle Euphrates Operations Command, helping ensure the successful implementation of the pilgrimage transportation plan.

Hussein added that the company has dedicated all its human and technical resources to delivering efficient and reliable transport services throughout the Arbaeen season, in line with the ministry's pre-approved operational plan.

The General Company for Transporting Passengers and Delegations, affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, plays a key role each year in facilitating the movement of millions of pilgrims traveling to Karbala for the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
