9th National Project for Nurturing Quranic Talent launched in holy city of Qom
The International Quranic Preaching Center at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched the ninth edition of its National Project for Nurturing Quranic Talent in the holy city of Qom. Hosted at the center's branch in Qom, the two-week program brings together 27 Quran memorizers and reciters from nine Iraqi governorates under the guidance of prominent Quranic scholars and instructors.
Speaking to Karbala Now Agency, Muntadhar Al-Mansouri, Director of the International Quranic Preaching Center, said the initiative is being held for the ninth consecutive year under the patronage of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
"The program includes 27 memorizers and reciters representing the governorates of Karbala, Najaf, Babylon, Baghdad, Diwaniyah, Wasit, Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Basra," Al-Mansouri said.
He explained that participants are receiving instruction from specialized teachers from both Iraq and abroad. The curriculum covers a broad range of Quranic sciences and Islamic studies, including Quran memorization techniques, recitation performance, Quranic exegesis, contemplation, Quranic orthography, thematic memorization, contemplative recitation, religious chanting, jurisprudence, theology, ethics, rules of recitation, Quranic institution management, practical applications of pausing and resuming recitation, the relationship between the Arabic language and the Quran, and the use of artificial intelligence in Quranic studies.
Highlighting this year's additions, Al-Mansouri said the program introduces new subjects that reflect rapid technological developments, including dedicated sessions on the application of artificial intelligence in the service of the Holy Quran.
He added that the ninth edition also places particular emphasis on developing participants' understanding of Quranic contemplation, describing it as one of the program's defining themes this year.
