German writer releases book on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage
German writer, philosopher and poet Peter Schütt has released a book on his journey to Arbaeen in 2016.
The book, titled “Under the Golden Dome of the Shrine of the Holy Imam”, was unveiled at the Islamic Center of Hamburg, Germany.
Schütt embarked on the blessed journey at the age of 77, describing it as inexpressible love towards Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The German writer was dazzled to witness people from different social classes, backgrounds, religions and ethnicities participating in the walk from Najaf to Karbala, while hundreds of thousands provided free services along the route.
Peter Schütt was born in 1939 in Hemmoor, Germany. In his early life, he was a communist, but converted to Islam in 1990 and accepted the Shia school of thought.
