Grand Ayatollah Sistani offers condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei
Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani expressed his profound condolences and sincere sympathy on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He prayed that God Almighty grant him abundant mercy, elevate his rank in Paradise, and bestow patience and solace upon his family, loved ones, and followers.
The statement issued by the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority read:
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
To God we belong and to Him we shall return.
With deep sorrow and grief, I extend my condolences to the noble Iranian people and to Muslims worldwide on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyed Khamenei (may God bless his soul).
His Eminence held a distinguished and influential position, and his unique role in leading the Islamic Republic of Iran for many years is evident to all. Undoubtedly, through his martyrdom and the launching of a large-scale military aggression against Iran, the enemies sought to inflict grave harm upon this dear nation. It is hoped that the great Iranian people will preserve their unity, strengthen their solidarity, and prevent the aggressors from achieving their malicious objectives.
I ask God Almighty to grant the deceased the highest ranks and divine grace, and to reward all those mourning his loss with patience and abundant recompense.
There is no power nor strength except with God, the Most High, the Almighty.
