The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has announced the launch of the first-ever MATTA Muslim Friendly Travel Fair (MFTF), which will take place on 18–19 October at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

MATTA described the event as a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and innovation in the tourism sector, with a specific focus on the fast-growing Muslim-friendly travel market.

The two-day fair will feature 115 booths operated by licensed travel agencies and major industry stakeholders. According to MATTA, the event is designed to offer a customized and immersive experience for travelers seeking destinations, services, and products that align with Muslim-friendly values.

Importantly, the fair is not limited to Muslim travelers. It is open to all visitors interested in culturally respectful, family-oriented, and accessible travel experiences.

Dr. Fazil Khan, Chairman of the MFTF Organizing Committee, noted that many Muslim travelers face difficulties in finding destinations that offer halal food, prayer facilities, and family-friendly attractions. He said the fair was created to directly address these needs and offer comprehensive solutions.

Dr. Khan also emphasized that the fair will feature trusted travel agencies offering Umrah and Hajj packages, enabling travelers to fulfill their religious obligations with confidence and ease.
