Quran students hold session in Qom as part of Eighth Development Program
As part of the ongoing activities of the Eighth Development Program for Quranic Talents, the International Quran Preaching Center at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) organized a Quranic session in the holy city of Qom. The event featured a select group of participants from the program and formed part of the initiative’s scheduled field activities.
The session was led by Professor Mahdi Foroughi, a renowned Quran reciter and muezzin at the Shrine of Lady Fatima Al-Ma’souma (peace be upon her). The gathering was attended by a group of believers, local Quran reciters, and enthusiasts.
Highlights of the event included a series of spiritual recitations by Haider Raed Al-Mahdawi and Mustafa Falah Al-Bahadli, both participants in the program. The delegation also performed a religious anthem that received wide praise from attendees and organizers for its emotional and artistic depth.
The evening concluded with a group visit to the Shrine of Lady Fatima Al-Ma’souma (peace be upon her). Participants expressed heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to engage in both academic and spiritual enrichment, made possible through the ongoing support of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
The Eighth Development Program includes 30 trainees—reciters, memorizers, and religious chanters—from nine Iraqi governorates. Spanning 15 days, the program features intensive workshops and lectures on the arts of Quranic recitation, memorization, and chanting, all conducted under the supervision of experienced international experts and educators.
